We tried out a new site today, although it was a late afternoon start so didn't get too much time on there. We were joined by good mate Angus for the dig, but sadly the heavens opened after an hour or so, meaning that the dig had to be curtailed. It was a pity as we were just getting to the interesting seam when the rain came. Didn't have the camera with me today, which was a blessing really with the weather, but there was very little to photograph anyway. Finds were mainly tat, with only one local Codd for Stephen to take home.

I never knew it could rain so much in one place, but it must have been the heaviest rain of the summer. We were all soaked through and rapidly lost the will to live. Never mind, there's always another day.
